Project Management: Survey, Detailed Design of Landing Stations and Vessel Storm Shelters, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), 2020- 2024
Team Leader in a Joint Venture between Ramboll Danmark and Design Development Consultants, Bangladesh.
The project includes all planning and design activities for the construction of 15 ferry landing stations and 6 vessel storm shelters located along the Meghna River and on the islands of Sandwip and Hatia. The activities involve feasibility study, site reconnaissance, surveys, hydraulic modelling, preliminary and detailed design.
Subconsultant to Ramboll.

Team Leader of a multidisciplinary consultant team in a Joint Venture between Ramboll Danmark, Padeco (Japan) and Design Development Consultants (Bangladesh). The study covers all aspects of the feasibility of a green-field container terminal with capacity up to 7 million TEUs.
Subconsultant to Ramboll.

Monitoring of all port development activities (technical and financial) during execution of construction works for a new cruise terminal and a new general cargo terminal. On behalf of the financing institutions.

Project Manager. Feasibility study on international ferry port, i.e. construction of substructure and superstructure. Aim of the feasibility study was to explore costs and benefits of construction of substructure, in line with spatial plans.

Project Director. Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd (GMEL) intends to establish a new port as part of an integrated Concentrator and Refinery facility in Kvanefjeld, Greenland, for the Kvanefjeld Rare Earth and Uranium Project.
Port location and -feasibility study for a future Kvanefjeld Port for import/export in relation to mining of rare earth and uranium.
Project management in relation to:
- Capacity evaluations and functional planning;
- Hydraulic conditions, navigation, land use constraints, geotechnical conditions etc;
- Site specific design parameters;
- SWOT analysis;
- Technical, financial and economic feasibility evaluations.
Project Director, responsible for all services delivered by the Consortium, consisting of Ramboll, DHV (Netherlands) and SPEA (Italy).
Several sub-projects within a consortium of consulting companies. Contract value EUR 5.3 mill. Study with the aim of establishing a comprehensive overall transport plan for the entire region, including an analysis of the demand for cargo transport and available capacity, strategy for developing infrastructure (roads, railways, seaports), assistance in setting up a North West Regional Transport Authority as part of Economic Co-operation Association of the Northwest Territory of the Russian Federation and training for the authority.

Planning and Design of 80 km coastal embankments and seawalls to protect against cyclonic surges. Social development scheme covering land acquisition and resettlements. Resident Team Leader and The Engineer during the implementation, financed by the World Bank, Japanese Government and Saudi Arabian Fund. The project implementation management also involved capacity building and training of local counterparts and contractors.

Feasibility study on development of navigation of cargo vessels on Lake Volta. Including market surveys, traffic forecasts, evaluation of existing services and facilities, gap analyses and conceptual design of rehabilitation and new construction of terminal facilities. Team leader for a team of consultants during all field missions. Responsible for detailed studies concerning terminal facilities and equipment, environmental conditions and auxiliary services.

Feasibility study for port facilities for service vessels in the Port of Beira. Responsible for all port engineering aspects, including structures and works for safe mooring of dredgers, tugs, pilot boats and passenger vessels.

Feasibility study on development of navigation of cargo vessels on Lake Malawi. Including market surveys, traffic forecasts, evaluation of existing services and facilities, gap analyses and conceptual design of rehabilitation and new construction of terminal facilities. The study covering 6 ports and 24 landing places in all three countries.
Team leader for a team of 5 consultants during all field missions. Responsible for detailed studies concerning terminal facilities and equipment, environmental conditions and auxiliary services.
